Thank you for using Resume Refiner. By using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Account terms

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Resume Refiner cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
  • You are responsible for all content uploaded to your account and activity that occurs under your account.
  • You may not use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction.
  • You must be a human. Accounts registered by automated methods are not permitted.
  • You must provide a valid email address to complete the signup process.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

Credits and payment

How credits work

  • Resume Refiner operates on a credit-based system. Each resume refinement consumes credits from your account.
  • Credits never expire. Once purchased, credits remain available in your account indefinitely until used.
  • Credit purchase limits are explained on the About page and are subject to change.
  • Credits are non-transferable between accounts.

Payment and billing

  • All fees are charged in US dollars.
  • Payment is due immediately upon purchase. We process payments through secure third-party payment processors.
  • We use industry-standard payment processors and do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
  • You may be subject to taxes in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for all applicable taxes.

Refunds and error handling

  • Errored requests are subject to refund. If a resume refinement fails due to a technical error on our end, the credits consumed will be automatically refunded to your account.
  • If you believe you were incorrectly charged credits for an errored request, please contact us and we will investigate and issue a refund if warranted.
  • Credit purchases are generally non-refundable, except in cases of technical errors or as required by law.

Account cancellation and termination

  • You can cancel your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.
  • Upon cancellation, your content will become inaccessible immediately. All data will be permanently deleted within 60 days.
  • Unused credits are forfeited upon account cancellation. We do not provide refunds for unused credits when you cancel your account voluntarily.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. In such cases, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export your data when legally permissible.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Modifications to the service and prices

  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice.
  • Credit prices are subject to change. Any price changes will not affect credits you have already purchased.

Copyright and content ownership

  • You retain all rights to the content you upload to Resume Refiner, including your resume and job descriptions.
  • By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
  • The suggestions and refinements generated by our Service are provided to you. You may use them however you see fit.
  • We do not claim ownership of any content you create using our Service.
  • We reserve all rights to the Service itself, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software. You may not reproduce, duplicate, or exploit any portion of the Service without express written permission.

Security and privacy

  • Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
  • We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • We will never sell your personal information or resume content to third parties.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as-is." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • We are not responsible for the results you achieve using our suggestions. Resume refinement suggestions are AI-generated and should be reviewed before use.
  • In no event shall Resume Refiner, its affiliates, or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Prohibited uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload content you do not own or have the right to upload
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate others
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or malicious code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
  • Use the Service to generate spam or unsolicited communications
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
  • Use the Service as a professional service provider (such as a resume writer or career coach) to refine client resumes for profit
  • Use automated means to access the Service (e.g., bots, scrapers) without permission

Governing law and disputes

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in the United States.

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update and change these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
